Pataskala Elementary - Principal Message
I want to welcome back all of our families returning to Pataskala, and I want to welcome all of our new families to the Pataskala family. We have an amazing staff here at Pataskala Elementary who are dedicated to ensuring your children grow both academically and socially/emotionally throughout the school year. From our teachers to our cooks/custodians, everyone plays an important role in the life our school. Our staff are coaches for your children as they teach, motivate, support, encourage, organize and work tirelessly both in and out of the classroom. I am a proud leader of such an incredible group of people!

The history of the building and location of Pataskala Elementary make it a rich learning environment. Students have the privilege of ringing the 150+ year old school bell every morning signaling the start of the day, and there are many walking field trips to businesses and historical sites that provide authentic educational experiences outside of our building. Inside the classroom, the focus is on providing high quality instruction that is focused on meeting each child’s academic needs. Our 2nd and 3rd graders grow tremendously throughout the school year with writing, reading, math computation and reasoning, and with their social/emotional development.

All grade levels are broken into teams, which are defined by Team Names and Colors. Teams will create class chants, dances, mottos, and there will be many team building opportunities to get to know each other. Your child will learn we are individual teams, but we are all part of the Pataskala family

We understand that education is a partnership and it takes a village to raise and educate your children. Communication from school to home is essential to providing consistency and support. Teachers and administration will share both email/paper copy updates with you on a frequent basis. Please check out our building calendar on this site for upcoming events. You will receive email updates once you you complete your registration, which opens up August 1st. Also, follow our updates on our Facebook page:

The open communication from our building to your home is vital to your child’s growth and development. There are many ways for you to directly volunteer in the building. Our Pataskala PTO would love for you to be a part of the many exciting events throughout the year, and you can reach out to your child’s teacher if you would like to help out around the classroom. All elementary buildings will have the WATCH D.O.G.S. program which focuses on bringing father figures into our building. The SWL PP “Partners in Parenting” nights will provide opportunities to discuss and share ideas about life at home. Finally, our building will be in search for after-school mentors for our new "GIVE Mentors" program. Please reach out if you would like to volunteer in any other capacity this year, our doors are always open.

If you have any questions or concerns, contact me anytime.
