Youth Leadership Council

Sophee Engle, Molly Rudduck, Sarah Selfinger, and Kenny Sloan have been selected as representatives to the Youth Leadership Council of Licking County.  YLC members participate in prevention education, civic engagement, leadership development, and community service with the intent of educating parents, professionals, and their peers on the community-wide impacts of behavioral health concerns.

The PSAT/NMSQT, or PSAT, is a practice test for the SAT that's offered every fall for 10th and 11th graders. It also serves as a qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program, which awards $2,500 scholarships annually to high-scoring 11th graders. This year the PSAT will be offered on Wednesday, October 16th, at WMHS and the cost is $17. In order to be registered for the PSAT, you must purchase a PSAT ticket from Mrs. Christman in the Guidance Office on your grade level designated day. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Gengo, agengo@laca.org.

Juniors: Tues, 9/3 - Fri, 9/6
Juniors + Sophomores: Mon, 9/9 - Wed, 9/11
Juniors + Sophomores + Freshmen: Thurs, 9/12 - Fri, 9/13

Student Experience

Mason Sharpless, of the Class of 2022, participated in the FBI Youth Leadership Program this summer in Quantico, Virginia. The YLP selection is rigorous, including an application, leadership essay, and interview process; only one student per state is offered this opportunity every summer. Mason plans to pursue a career in the FBI.
