Girls Tennis, Boys Golf, Girls Golf, Volleyball and Cross Country are considered non-contact sports and some of these teams have started their seasons. Football, Cheerleading, Boys Soccer and Girls Soccer continue to condition until a decision is made regarding contact sports.
THE WATKINS MEMORIAL ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT EXTENDS THANKS TO LICKING MEMORIAL HEALTH SYSTEMS FOR PROVIDING FREE PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS TO WMHS AND WMS STUDENTS DURING THE MONTH OF JULY. Thank you for allowing the parents/guardians of athletes and band members to participate in your free physicals. We greatly appreciate the community support provided to our schools.
As a reminder, every athlete must have a current physical prior to trying out for a sport. Final Forms registration is open and parents should update their information. Please make sure you check the sport your athlete is participating in and sign all of the required forms. Parents of 7th grade students and new students to WMS or WMHS must register their athlete(s) on final forms.

Injuries are still happening. The Sports Medicine team at Nationwide Children’s Hospital are still here for our student athletes and active kids at play. We are committed to keeping our kids safe. They are using the latest telehealth technology to see patients. Call (614) 355-6003 to schedule an appointment with a Nationwide Children’s Sports Medicine expert.
Our Athletic Trainers, Jesse Parthemore and Chelsea Todd, have provided a link to a free APP called BAND. Once coaches, athletes and parents join the group, everyone will have access to our athletic training staff. Jesse and Chelsea can provide information on stretching routines,exercises, rehab information, healthy eating tips and more. This app is a one way communication; however, our Athletic Trainers are happy to communicate via email.
