We are in constant contact with Nationwide Children's Hospital and as of today, they provided the following information:   The Ohio High School Athletic Association Joint Advisory Committee on Sports Medicine has issued advisement on Preparticipation Physical Exams (PPE's) for the 2020-2021 school year.

1.  PPE's are required, as usual, for the 2020-2021 school year for athletes participating in OHSAA sanctioned sports.
2.  Mass physicals or group physicals are NOT permitted per OHSAA JAC or by state social distancing standards.
3.  It is recommended that athletes go to their primary care physicians, pediatricians and health care homes for appropriate completion of PPE's.

Nationwide Children's Sports Medicine can guide families to establish a health care home by contacting Find a Doctor at https://www.nationwidechildrens.org/find-a-doctor  and requesting referral to an appropriate physician specialist in their community.  Encourage athletes to SCHEDULE NOW to avoid delays.
