2021-2022 DROP OFF PICK UP MAP.pdf

First day of school for students with last names A-K is August 17th.

First day of school for students with last names L-Z is August 18th.

All students will attend school on August 19th.

Drop-off procedures: Please have your student seated on the back seat passenger side of the vehicle.  Staff will assist the students from getting out of the car. Parents should stay in the car at all times. This will allow the line to move quickly. Staff will start the drop off process at 8:45 A.M. Please do not let students out of your vehicle until staff is outside and in place. Please do not enter the front parking lot to drop off your student.  There will be many staff members stationed to assist students getting into the building and to find their homerooms.

Pick-up procedures:  Car riders will be dismissed at 3:35 P.M. Pick-up procedures are the same as drop-off procedures.  We do not want students crossing the street during

afternoon pick-up so please use the map provided to ensure you are parked in front of the building facing south on S. High Street.

*Please note:  State Route 310 will be closed the week of August 16th - August 20th because of the Street Fair.

Pick-up Cards/ID:  On the first day of school we will send home pick-up cards with your student.  Every day at pick-up you (or whoever you designate to pick-up your student) will need to present the pick-up card or an ID prior to the student getting into the vehicle. Having these items out and ready will help make dismissal move quickly. We appreciate your cooperation with this safety measure.

Walkers will be dismissed at 3:35 P.M.  Please meet your student at the flagpole on the front side of the building.  Please bring your pick-up card or ID.

Finally, for the safety of our students, I wanted to share with parents that we cannot accommodate parents walking their students into the school building or to their classroom. Staff will be placed all throughout the building to help get students to their classrooms. I would encourage students to wear a name tag with their name and teacher’s name on it. This will help the staff get them to their classroom quickly. I would also encourage students to establish a routine from the first day. If the student will be riding the bus each day, have them ride the bus the first day. The sooner the routines are established the more confident your student will feel.

We are looking forward to seeing all of our students next week!
